A two-day seminar titled “New Build Journey”, organized by Hyundai Engineering & Construction, the Center of Nuclear Competencies Kozloduy, and Kozloduy NPP – New Build, was held on 28–29 October 2025 with the kind hospitality of the Technical University of Sofia.

The opening remarks were delivered by the university’s Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Lidia Galabova and the Deputy Executive Director of Kozloduy NPP – New Build, Mr. Bogdan Dimitrov.

Guest lecturers included four professors from the prestigious Seoul National University – Hyunseung Park, Seokbin Park, Sangil Lee, and Min Baek.

The seminar featured a wide range of topics focused on nuclear energy, the safe operation of nuclear power plants, the regulatory framework, and technological developments related to small modular reactors.

Students from various academic years and nuclear-related specialties took active part in the two-day program. They had the opportunity to ask questions to the guest lecturers and share their impressions of the topics presented during the seminar.
